About Us

HB Projects is a forward thinking, multi-disciplinary Principal Contractor. We were formed in 1992 (we will be celebrating 25 years in 2018) and today we employ more than 160 highly skilled professionals on a diverse range of construction projects throughout the UK.

Our reputation for quality has grown alongside the expansion of our services and our nationwide reach. We have a client list that includes many of the UK’s biggest and best-known companies and organisations – including ASDA, Morrisons, B&Q, Brenntag UK, The Co-operative, Tuffnells, ENER-G and Sainsbury's.

We have proven Principal Contractor experience in the three mainstream sectors of Industrial, Retail and Commercial projects.
We also have extensive experience in the hygiene-critical sectors of Food, Healthcare and Pharmaceutical.

HB Projects is part of the HB Group of companies and we have offices in Bradford, Livingston and Gatwick.
We deliver contracts with values between £50,000 and £10 million.

Health, Safety & Environment

HB Projects places great emphasis on maintaining the highest standards of occupational Health and Safety. We have dedicated Health & Safety Advisors supported by our Compliance Manager, which promote safe working and best practice across all of our work activities. We have specific processes for controlling, communicating and co-ordinating our Health and Safety management arrangements.  These are included within our certification of our  Integrated Management System (IMS), this includes ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environment) and OHSAS 18001 (Health and Safety). 

The main areas covered include:

  • Project risk assessments – preliminary and ongoing;
  • Safe design - encompassing user safety (post-contract);
  • Liaising with the client Health & Safety representatives and regulatory authorities;
  • Site safety briefings for our own staff and subcontractors;
  • Selection of people for specific roles and tasks;
  • Selection and maintenance of equipment;
  • Selection of sustainable and durable building materials;
  • Environmental management – minimising environmental impacts and project waste.
